March quarter 2010 sector commentary

We continue and complete our sector commentary on selected neutral-weighted sectors following last week’s coverage of overweight and some neutral-weighted sectors. 

Over the past two weeks, the decline in equity markets has generally improved our forecast 12-month returns for sectors highlighted, with slightly lower PEs, resulting from lower share prices, making our preferred exposures more attractive. Overall, we now project an overall 12-month return of 20.7% from our universe of stocks covered, composed of 16.7% capital growth and 4.0% income yield.... ...more
